Today I want to present very cool trick to connect any controller to xbox console. Before couple of month i bought from aliexpress a nice controller for my xiaomi android tv. The controller is “Gamesir t2a”. When i got the controller i thought that the controller can works with my android tv box and the xbox one console, but when i try to connect the usb dongle to the xbox one , The xbox one did not detect my controller. so i found very good solution, is called “xbox app” yes it is really true, you can connect any controller to your xbox one via the xbox app. So you need couple of thing for this: The xbox app(available in android google play store, ios app store and Microsoft market) , For android you need a micro usb to usb type c or micro usb to micro usb(for old android phones), for ios you need adapter for micro usb to lightning, and if your controller support Bluetooth , you can connect it too.
- Install the xbox app from android play store or from ios app store.
- Connect your phone with micro usb cable or Bluetooth.
- Turn on your wifi in your phone to connect the phone to your xbox(make sure your xbox one and your phone are in the same network).
- Open the xbox app and sign in to your microsoft account.
- Then you need to set up your app to detect you xbox console(make sure you xbox one is turning on).
- When you press on the set up button , You will need to enter 6 digits code in your phone, you see the code in your xbox.
- After you enter the code ,you will see the the xbox market on the app.
- In the top part of the screen your will see a bell button and beside the bell you will the console icon.
- When you press on this icon, a popup window will appear and you need to see your xbox one in status “on”. and then you need to press on the button “remote play on this device”
And that is it , Now you can see your xbox games in you phone and your xbox controller connected.
